WEARING MY FAVORITE ARTICLE OF CLOTHING AGAIN...

I pulled out my favorite pair of jeans today, and held my breath for a bit as I slid them on. I wasn't sure if they would fit the same. I wasn't sure if I had lost enough weight or inches. I wasn't sure if I would fit into this literal and figurative pair of jeans again. To my astonishment, I zipped them up without a struggle!

These jeans are symbolic of being the best version of me possible. I owe it to God, myself, and my family to maintain the level of health and productivity I previously held, prior to becoming a mother. I  am consistently working out during the week and I want to gradually build up a more rigorous routine. I also have plans to  modify my diet in a couple months, once the baby starts solids and begins to wean off of breast milk.

I absolutely adore being a mom, and today, this small victory gave me that much more to be joyful for.

Oh, and I styled my jeans with one of my favorite tops at the moment. ;)

Top purchased from Ross; I love the boho/peasant appeal

This is why I love thrifting; It's a fortuitous occasion to stumble upon hide gems like this structured bag.

As I recollect these are from Ross, too! lol I purchased these heels on clearance for under $10!

See you in the next post.

AFTERNOONS WITH FAMILY LEAD TO UNANTICIPATED PHOTOSHOOTS

Hi Everyone,

This look is from an unexpected photoshoot, after a nice afternoon out with my husband and son. I wore this baseball inspired top again, with a different spin this time. We coordinated our looks, somewhat. ;)

What happens behind the scenes. I'm in the background fanning myself before my makeup melts off. lol
I loved the softness of the denim shirt around my waist, and the nude pumps on my feet. I've been trying some more unconventional outfit choices, as of late. I love to mix the feminine with the androgynous. More importantly, I absolutely love being a mom. It's brought out a different (more liberated) side of me; which has directly impacted my style.

1 SKIRT: 3 WAYS + BONUS LOOK!!

Hi everyone,

I thrifted this polka dot skirt about a month ago and I couldn't wait to style it and include it in a post. Lately, I haven't been shopping as much, due to juggling a 2 month old in my schedule. It's become essential for me to find statement pieces that I can build looks around. I am also still losing the "baby weight", so for the moment, I am the curator of a capsule wardrobe. The same pieces get rotated over and over again.

I posted a video on YouTube showcasing a few of the ways I styled this darling skirt. WATCH IT HERE!

PRE-FALL LOOKBOOK FEAT. PINKBLUSH MATERNITY

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by again! I'm excited to bring you all this mini lookbook featuring PinkBlush Maternity. I was sent these items for an honest review, and I ended up really loving these pieces! I hope you enjoy the post.

This tunic made me feel very comfortable and very pretty. The fabric is soft yet substantial, so that it wears great in the Fall. When it gets colder, this would be a great layering piece. It's simple, but so beautiful.

I decided to do what I do best with this piece: re-purpose it! I wore this light trench coat as a dress for a day of shopping on my birthday. I belted it with a brown belt and paired it with jeweled flats and a statement necklace. I love that this color can be easily transitioned into the Spring and even Summer, so that I will get a lot of wear out of this coat.

I received this trench in a beige as well. This time around I wore it the way it should be worn! I kept my outfit's foundation simple, by wearing an all black palette. I wore this look out to dinner so I added some statement earrings for a pop of glamour.

FIRST POST-BABY FASHION POST! WOOHOO!

Hi Everyone,

I recently filmed and published a mini look book inspired by my postpartum body. I'm loving being a mommy and loving the journey to get back in shape as well! I'm not going to fill this post with unnecessary rhetoric; I just want to get straight to the fashion! LOL

I posted the video on my YouTube channel, but here are the looks.

DENIM ON DENIM W/ A POP OF SILVER
This look creates a monochromatic illusion that detracts attention from my midsection.

A MODEST APPROACH TO BODYCON
Underneath this Aztec throw-over is a long sleeve cranberry body con dress. As I'm not yet ready to show off so much, the thick belt creates the illusion of a more defined waistline.

BACK TO MY BROOKLYN ROOTS
This boldly printed baseball-inspired buttoned tee is all I needed to amp up my confidence. It's playful and trendy. The low hem, flared skirt and lace-up booties give this look youthfulness.

To My Angel.

Korbyn,

Today you would have been a 1 year old. So hard to believe. I still grieve for the fact that you are not here, but I know that you are present with Jesus. I love you. We will always remember you and your brother will know that he has a big brother. You were real, so real; but God had other plans for you. We loved you and will always love you. Thank you for showing us what love really means. We appreciate your brother so much more because of your short time on this earth. We Love You Korbyn.

Forever,

Mom & Dad
